About the Course

Social Media Marketing - Sports (JMC:3530) 

Sports fans now have more ways than ever to connect with their favorite teams, which means that teams also have more channels than ever to operate, optimize, and assign resources to while creating engaging platform-specific content. Throughout the course, students will explore social media best practices to provide insights into the numerous challenges marketing and content departments across teams, leagues, and media outlets must navigate to connect with target audiences, strengthen their brands, and meet organizational business objectives.

Social Media Strategy – Chicago Sky

Teams of students each created a comprehensive social media strategy for the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, then developed a slide deck outlining their strategic recommendations. They then presented their ideas to the client.
