About the Course
In Information and Data Visualization (JMC:3640), students learn how to find and tell stories using data. This course is a hands-on introduction to data visualization, data analysis, and data literacy for journalists and communications professionals. As a final project, students were asked to synthesize all they learned during the course for data and information visualization in the form of an 11 x 17 infographic. Students found and cleaned their own data and designed various data and information visualization storytelling strategies.
